The Watercolor Paintings Of Neill Ketchum

Watercolor 1

All I need is, a jug of water, 3 or 4 brushes, tubes of color, a piece of 300 lb. white cream paper, and a spot beside me in the wilderness. After completing a drawing, I start the watercolor with loose transparent washes. Next, I go back in with darker and more opaque shapes, and finally, a little detail, always allowing the white paper to sparkle through.

"Sycamore"
